I have my own textures...
They work in the editor...
But when I load back in after a save all is bad.

I get this sign:

WARNING: Texture file
'C:\MY DOCUMENTS \ LARA STUFF \ MY TEXTURES \ NEW. PCX
not found.

This does not make sense because

A) It is a TGA file not a PCX file
B) Its full name is 'New House' not 'New'
C) It lets me put the textures in the editor it's just when I save a project with my textures and load it back in I get this sign and a few others:

'Arg List too big'

(is it **** )

also the old annoying 'illegal operation' sign.

I just thought I was getting somewhere.

WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY, OH, WHY!

HELP ME... AGAIN!

PLEASE...

L Severi

Try coping your tga in to the maps/whatever wad you're using folder and load up your prj, if u still get errors click past them then load your .tga file from the new folder. Also, make sure you are outputting to the same wad that you got the objects from at the beginning

You cant have spaces in the name of your texture file. So rename your texture to new and the editor will be able to load it.

It's probably due to the fact that you have a space in your TGA filename. The filename stored in the PRJ file uses the DOS 8.3 convention for the directories but stores the long version for the actual filename.

What I'm guessing is when the room editor tries to parse the filename and when it gets to the space and says that's the end of the filename, and since it doesn't have an extension it will default to PCX. You'll notice that the error message that displays the filename stops at the space.

What you can try is renaming your TGA file to the 8.3 format and using a hex editor change the filename of the TGA in the PRJ. Also, you must end the filename with a space character and delete the extra characters. I just tried this fix and upon casual inspection it does work (it loaded correctly and didn't crash).

Hello Ive had the same problem and it did have to do with the name of the texture.I fixed the problem by making the name more simple, lower case letters, and useing one word for the name.Hope this helps.
